AMD’s moment of Zen: Finally, an architecture that can compete | Ars Technica

About damn time.  Period.

I’m stoked to see AMD get back into the CPU game for real.  I would totally buy another even though I love my Core i5.  The article is very long, and very in depth but worth the read.  Some places the i7-7700k still has the top performance by a few percentage points.  But guess what, its cost more than double the AMD!

TLDR: This is going to be awesome, AMD is back!

Intel’s architecture is still better, but AMD has significantly narrowed the gap.
